Websites

You can tell immediately when you visit a website that's done well – designed and built with clear intent and attention to detail.

But let's be honest – that's not most sites. If you want a site that feels complete and stands out, then I am your guy.

Coaching through the process

The process of building such a site is often a journey. It's rare that someone can fully articulate, from the outset, exactly how their site should be structured and designed, and more importantly, why.

A process of discovery and refinement is essential for creating something that truly resonates. Real creative work is messy and uncertain, which is why most agencies and developers avoid it.

Typically they will have you sign off on proposals and designs before even starting the work. This almost always leads to either disappointment or a significant increase in cost. It's not wrong or unethical, it's just how the business model works.

But for me, the messy journey is an integral part of the process. I’ll take full responsibility for setting clear, practical boundaries that keep us grounded, and allow us to navigate ambiguity together. I consider it part of my job to guide you through the process of arriving at a result that's just right.

Alignment with your ideal customer

I take the time to understand your business, your customers, and the message you want to convey. This way, the structure, design, and overall feel of your website will not only look professional but will also resonate with your target audience.

Every design choice is made to attract and engage your ideal customers. The first impression your website gives is critical. A well-designed site doesn’t just look good – it builds trust.

Your website will communicate your professionalism and expertise in a way that encourages visitors to trust you and take action.

Prioritizing performance

I absolutely detest slow websites, especially on mobile. For that reason I completely avoid all bloated frameworks that weigh down performance.

Most web designers aren't actually software developers. They merely piece various frameworks together, and rarely understand how the pieces actually work under the hood.

I am an expert at creating fast and efficient websites. And where others prioritize the speed of development, I prioritize the speed of the final product.

Sometimes that requires more work than anticipated, and that's ok. I will always work longer to nail the result, rather than cut corners to safe myself time.

Customized content management

It's estimated that close to 50% of the internet now runs on WordPress (WP). WP is what you call a Content Management System (CMS). It's where you edit the content of your site.

WP isn't always the best solution though, it's just the easiest for most to set up. Recently I built my own custom CMS because I wanted something that supported the process of writing content better. I use it for this site and a few of my clients.

Whether we end up using WP, something else, or my own custom solution, I will make sure you have a CMS that's easy and intuitive to use.

Ps. If you are curious about the CMS I built, you can explore it in my portfolio under projects.
